Terms of service

The agreement between you and Dailies: the waitlist, your account, your work, what you publish, the AI features, payments, and the few rules everyone follows.

Last updated 19 October 2026

The short version

  • Dailies is in early access. Joining the waitlist doesn’t guarantee an invite.
  • What you make in Dailies is yours. We only use it to run the service for you.
  • Anything you publish can be seen by anyone, and listings can be copied.
  • Paid plans aren’t open yet. When they are, Polar handles payments for us.
  • Keep your own copies of work that matters to you.

About these terms

Dailies is a browser editor for motion graphics. It is run by Kanishak Mahendiratta, a sole proprietor in India, trading as Dailies (“we”, “us”). These terms apply when you join the waitlist, visit the website, or use the Dailies app. By doing any of those, you agree to them.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data, and our refund policy explains refunds. Both are part of these terms.

The waitlist

Dailies is opening gradually. Joining the waitlist asks for an invite, and we will email you when yours is ready. We invite people in the order and at the pace that suits the product, so joining doesn’t guarantee an invite or a date. You can leave the waitlist at any time by writing to us.

Early access

Dailies is new and still changing. We add, change and remove features as we learn, and some may be labelled as previews. We will try not to break your work, and we will not remove something you rely on without good reason.

Your account

You need an account to use the app, and you must be at least 18 to have one. You can sign in with the methods Dailies offers at the time, such as Google, GitHub, or an email address and password.

  • Give us accurate details, and keep your email address current.
  • An account is for one person. Don’t share your sign-in or create accounts for others without their permission.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it. You can see and end your sessions in your security settings.

Your work stays yours

You keep every right you have in what you create and upload: Projects, components, code, images, footage, sound and videos. We claim no ownership of any of it.

You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run Dailies for you and the people you share it with. We don’t use your content to train AI models. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from these:

  • Copies other people already made stay theirs. People who added one of your components keep the last version you published.
  • Work you made in someone else’s workspace stays with that workspace.
  • Comments you wrote in other people’s workspaces stay, under the name you had.
  • Your listings come down at once. We keep their preview videos, posters and published component versions until you ask us to delete them.
  • Backups expire on their own.

The privacy policy lists what deleting your account removes.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload. Rendering and export happen in your browser, so the videos you export are made on your own device.

What you publish

Some things are public only if you choose: your profile, marketplace listings, marketplace comments, and videos you share with a link. Anyone can see those, whether or not they have an account.

  • Listings. By publishing a Project or component to the marketplace, you confirm you have the right to, and you allow anyone who adds it to use it in their own work. A Project listing copies the Project as it is when someone adds it, so anything you add to that Project later, such as new footage, also goes to people who add it after that. A component listing copies the version you published, and later edits stay private until you publish again. A Project, or a component you let others remix, gives them their own copy to change as they like.
  • Copies are theirs. You can unpublish a listing at any time. Copies people already took stay in their workspaces.
  • Links. Remix links and watch links work for anyone who has them, until you turn them off or reset them.

Everything in the marketplace is free. We may remove anything published that breaks these terms.

AI features

  • The built-in agent runs on an Anthropic API key your workspace adds. Its use is between you and Anthropic, under Anthropic’s terms, and Anthropic bills you for it.
  • AI apps you connect act as you, with your access. They can read what you can see in the workspace, and reply to comments and resolve them as you, marked as written by your AI app. They can change Projects, code or media only if a workspace owner or admin turns on AI editing. You are responsible for what you ask them to do.
  • Sound generation uses credits. Don’t use it to imitate a real person’s voice, or to make anything you don’t have the right to make.

AI output can be wrong, or similar to other people’s work. Check it before you publish or rely on it.

Workspaces and teams

Projects belong to a workspace, not to the person who made them. A workspace’s owner and admins decide who joins, what each member can do, and whether to pause or remove a member. They can also make a member the admin of one Project. A Project admin can give other members access to that Project, and can share it by email or by link, which brings new people into the workspace as guests who can view it. If you leave or are removed, the work you made there stays with the workspace. Owners and admins can see members’ email addresses and activity.

Rules for everyone

When you use Dailies, don’t:

  • upload or publish anything you don’t have the rights to, or that infringes someone else’s;
  • upload or publish anything unlawful, obscene, pornographic or sexually explicit, or meant to harm, harass or deceive;
  • share anything that harms children, including any sexual content involving a child;
  • share anything that invades someone’s privacy, including their bodily privacy or personal data;
  • share anything that insults or harasses people because of their gender, race, ethnicity, religion or caste, or that stirs up hatred between groups;
  • share anything that promotes money laundering or illegal gambling;
  • share information you know is false or misleading, or hide where a message really came from;
  • share anything that threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, its relations with other countries, or public order, or that encourages a crime;
  • make deepfakes, or imitate a real person without their permission;
  • try to reach another person’s account or workspace, or break the separation between them;
  • spread malware, or use Dailies to attack, scan or overload any system;
  • get around rate limits, quotas, access controls or the sign-in;
  • resell or rent out Dailies itself, or scrape it at scale.

If something on Dailies infringes your rights or breaks these rules, write to us with a link to it. We look at every report, and we may remove content or suspend an account.

Limits

To keep Dailies fast and fair, there are limits. Today, each Project holds up to 100 MB of media, each saved video up to 200 MB, and each workspace up to 2 GB of saved videos. There are also limits on how often some actions can be repeated. We may change limits, and we won’t lower one in a way that deletes work you have already stored without telling you first.

Ending your use

You can stop using Dailies at any time, and delete your account yourself in your settings. The privacy policy explains what deletion removes.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why first and give you time to export your work. If we ever close Dailies, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice to export it.

No warranty

We work hard to keep Dailies available and your work safe, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise it will always be available, free of faults, or fit for a particular purpose. Keep your own copies of work that matters to you.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars, whichever is more.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing takes away rights you have under the consumer law where you live.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a problem, write to us first, and we will try to fix it within 30 days. If we can’t, the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of your own country’s mandatory laws and courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Dailies changes. The new version goes on this page with a new date. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in Dailies at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Dailies after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Dailies and delete your account.
