The short answer
- Use Jitter when your design lives in Figma and you want to bring it to life quickly, or you need Lottie or transparent video.
- Use Dailies when you are making a video with several beats, 3D camera moves, voice and music, or when your AI app should do part of the work.
Side by side
| Feature | Dailies | Jitter |
|---|---|---|
| Runs | In the browser | In the browser |
| Starts from | A Storyboard, a template or a blank Shot | Often your Figma frames, through its plugin |
| Planning | A Storyboard in the same Project | Not its focus |
| AI apps | Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and Cursor over MCP | See Jitter's site for current features |
| Export | MP4 and looping GIF, watch links and embeds | MP4, MOV, WebM, GIF and Lottie |
Where Dailies is the better fit
Dailies treats a video as a sequence of Shots with a plan behind it, so it suits a launch film more than a single animated frame. It adds 3D camera moves, a sound timeline where music dips under the voice, and 30 transitions between Shots.
Where Jitter is the better pick
Jitter's Figma plugin brings frames in as editable layers, which is hard to beat when the design already exists there. It also lists more export formats than Dailies, including Lottie, which Dailies does not export. Checked 5 November 2026.
